FOUNDING STATEMENT
- The Party submits itself to almighty God, the creator, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The Party believes the Bible to be the inspired and unfailing written Word of God and the final authority above all man's laws.
- The Party acknowledges the sovereignty of God over all the affairs of man including government.
- The Party stands for Christian/Biblical values, norms and principles.
- The party believes in Christian leadership based on the concept of a Federal Leadership Council which includes the Party Leader, two Co-Federal Leaders, and nine (9) Provincial leaders.
MISSION STATEMENT
The CDP will, in humble submission to Almighty God, strive to bring about "God's Plan for South Africa" by establishing a Democratic Government with policies based on Biblical norms, values and principles, to the Glory of God and for the good of the people.
VISION
The CDP will play a leading role in the establishment of a Christian Alliance that will unite the majority of South Africans in a dynamic political alternative based on Christian/Biblical norms, values and principles.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
- To be the government of South Africa.
- To order civil Government according to Christian/Biblical principles, which means:
2.1. A distinction is made between institutions of state and of civil society.
2.2. The authority of institutions of state are limited in nature, are governed by just laws and qualified by a written constitution that is subject to the Word of God.
2.3. Institutions of civil society, which are judicial personalities, enjoy internal self-determination, free from State control and/or State interference.
- To establish a Christian Democracy within a Federal framework as opposed to Democratic Centralism.
- To restore integrity and decency to public life and governance.
- To protect the rights of all citizens
- To ensure a Multi Party Democratic Political System.
- To form alliances with political parties and organisations that support similar principles and pursue similar political objectives in the interest of good governance.
